Accessing Coronavirus Testing

There is now access to coronavirus testing for all UK patients over 5 years old who have had new onset in the last 5 days of a new persistent cough or a fever over 37.8 degrees or a loss or change of sense of smell or taste. Tests are throat and nose swabs and can be done at a drive through testing centre or a pack can be sent to your home. Tests cannot be accessed via 111 or the GP practice.

If you are a key worker please go to https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus

If you are not a keyworker please go to https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-for-coronavirus/ask-for-a-test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/

If you do not have access to the internet to book your test you can call 119 and will not be charged for the call. Results will normally be texted / emailed to you within 4 days. If you need to chase a result after this time you can call 119 for help. If you have a child under 5 years old with Coronavirus symptoms you are advised to call 111.
